Bautista-Agut opponent Thiemo in Madrid

Thiemo meets Spaniard Roberto Bautista-Agut in the first qualifying round of the Mutua Madrid Open on Saturday. The winner plays Carlos Berlocq (ARG) or Lukasz Kubot (POL) in the deciding second round.

It is the second encounter between the Dutchman and the current world number 184. Thiemo won the first in three sets (4-6, 6-4, 6-1) during a Future tournament in the Netherlands in June 2008. The 23-year old Bautista-Agut is earns his points mainly in the challenger circuit. It will be the fourth match on court 5 of the Manzanares tennis park in Madrid.

Thiemo has had a taste of the clay court of the Spanish masters tournament on Friday. His first practice was with Colombian Alejandro Falla. He also had a second session with coach Raemon Sluiter.
