Thiemo on the verge of main draw spot

Thiemo needs one more victory win to earn a main draw spot of the ATP event in Chennai. He defeated Juan Sebastian Cabal from Columbia (ATP-248) in straight sets on Sunday: 6-1, 6-3. The Dutchman meets Izak van der Merwe (ATP-113) from South Africa in the final qualifying round.

“This was much better than my first match. I did not have the right preparation for the tournament because of the bad weather. So I had to play my first match in the heat, which was pretty tough. Now things were going much better today”, told Thiemo after his match.
